About the Author

Hey there,

I’m Hunter.

Where do I begin? Often, to keep things concise and interesting, I start with the present and let the backstory fill in naturally.

I sell fire hydrants for a living — and have for the last eight years. My days are full of long drives across the Midwest, hopping from one town to the next. Strange place to find a story, right? But somewhere between the windshield miles, the podcasts, and that old childhood spark, something returned that I had deeply missed.

I started dreaming again.

Ideas hit me everywhere — mowing the yard, driving home at sunset, soaking in the hot tub under the stars, or rocking my first son to sleep late into the night. A world began forming in my mind, full of adventure, courage, and these mysterious little beings called Morphs. For three years, the entire story lived only in my head. Not a single note written down. I wasn’t ready.

Or maybe God was simply waiting until I was.

Then one day, as my kids and I curled up on the couch watching Hercules (’97) for the 40th time, I realized the story wasn’t mine to keep. It was a gift — a reminder of the joy of being a kid, of running and climbing and pretending and believing. So I took the leap. I started writing. And now, I’m sharing it with you — hoping it inspires someone else to dream big, play hard, and trust the One who put wonder inside us in the first place.

Faith soars higher than fear can reach
